- Bleeding disorders : As Durva decreases the bleeding time (BT) and clotting time (CT), it is used to manage following bleeding disorders - Bleeding piles, Bloody diarrhea, Bleeding due to injury, Epistaxis, Menorrhagia / Metrorrhagia / DUB, Hematuria, Hemoptysis, Bleeding disorders, Thrombocytopenia and Abortion.
- Water retention : As Durva increases the production of urine , it is used in following diseases - Renal edema, Hepatic edema and UTI.
- Anti-allergic : As Durva has been found to possess anti-allergic activity, it is used in the management of - Nasal allergy, Bronchial allergy and Skin allergy / Urticaria.
- Wounds / Ulcers : Phenolic acids and flavonoids in Durva give it wound/ulcer-healing activity. On this basis of this activity, Durva is used for the management of ulcers and wounds.
- Diabetes : Flavonoids and sterols in Durva exhibit hypoglycemic activity, probably through their ability of beta cell regeneration.
- On this basis, Durva could be used in the management of diabetes, especially type I.
